Femi Adesina, President Muhammadu Buhari‘s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, has responded to a statement by the chairman of the Northern Elders Forum (NEF), Ango Abdullahi, in which he targeted a veiled attack at President Buhari.
Abdullahi previously stated that the north would not support a candidate who wants to benefit from initiatives that exploit the zone’s ethnic and religious diversity.
“We suffer scars from governance by one we overwhelmingly voted into power twice,” Abdullahi remarked. People in the north will vote more carefully this time.”
In response to the criticism, Adesina mocked Abdullahi in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle, claiming that he never voted for President Buhari in the first place.
“But the Professor forgets,” Adesina wrote. He never supported PMB. He had his candidate, and both of them were thrashed black and blue.”
Adesina has previously branded the Northern Elders Forum, chaired by Abdullahi, as only a nuisance.
