At the Valentine’s Day celebration that four newlywed couples recently attended at the Council’s Secretariat in Ljanikin, Prince Asafa offered this bit of advise.

A family is the smallest unit of society and the first agent of socialisation, thus everything must be done to maintain the integrity of marriage in order to have a peaceful society, according to the Council Head, who spoke through the Vice Chairman, Hon. Kareem Azeez.
The negative impacts of divorce, according to Prince Asafa, are felt more by the children because, as the proverb says, “When two elephants fight, the grass suffers.”
The Council Chief generously offered one of the newlywed couples (Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Gloria Okafor), who won all expenses paid night at Royal Inn, Liyana Era after several contests, a gift in the spirit of Valentine’s Day, which is about the expression of love and gift-exchange.
