The Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike has expressed is readiness to support the Minister for transportation Rotimi Ameachi if he’s willing to contest for 2023 president.
Governor Wike said this in an interview on a terrestrial TV, noting that he is willing to support him if only he can contest for president in 2023 on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
The Governor who stressed that, if PDP can zone the president to the South and the Minister for transport Amaechi is running under the platform of PDP he will give him necessary support.
However, Governor Wike stress that if the minister should contest under the flagship of APC it would amount to anti-party activity for him to support him.
” if he is running under PDP why not? If he’s running under APC why should I support him? I am not a member of APC. I am a true Nigerian.
” if Rotimi Amaechi is running for president under PDP and I get the party ticket why not” he said
