Oyo State’s Governor Seyi Makinde has explained why he missed the launch of the Osun Governorship Campaign Council.
The governor couldn’t attend because he was abroad, according to Taiwo Adisa, the governor’s spokesman, in an interview with The Punch.
He revealed that Governor Makinde went there for an investment forum in Israel.
“The governor is out of the country to attend an Agribusiness Investment Forum in Israel,” he said.
The governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal, was in Germany for a significant meeting, according to Kabiru Aliyu, the governor’s special adviser on SDGs.
He disputed assertions that Tambuwal’s absence was a result of party differences.
He said, “What happened in the party is a minor disagreement, as everyone wants to benefit from the process, but I can assure you that everything is gradually coming to a logical conclusion.”
