Micheal Collins Ajereh, better known as Don Jazzy, a record producer and the founder of Mavin Records, has shared how he met and acquired a number of artists for his record company.
All budding artists should constantly publish their videos on their social media accounts, according to Don Jazzy, who stated this in a message on his social media pages. This will help them catch his attention.
He shared screenshots of his interactions with Avra, Boyspyce, and Bayanni, three up-and-coming musicians.
He wrote, “Dear upcoming artists, from these 3 screenshots, you can see that I reached out to Ayra, Boyspyce and Bayanni myself. I won’t have reached out to them if I didn’t see a sample of what they can do on their Instagram pages. For the umpteenth time, showcase yourself on your page. I know it seems uncool to post a lot. But then again you would be an uncool artist if it’s only your family that gets to hear your beautiful music till you give up.
Love from The Don.”
This occurs shortly after Bryann, a contestant on the reality television series Big Brother Naija, gained media attention for his electrifying performance inside the house while carrying out a task given to him by Biggie.
The roommates had been teamed with Biggie to create a song. Don Jazzy was drawn to Bryann’s performance since she was paired with Chomzy, the current head of house.
After seeing the freestyle, the founder of Mavin Records posted on Twitter, saying, “Haha Bryan na bully for this competition. Equipment (#bbnaija).
After he and DBanj parted ways with Mo’Hits Records, one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria, Don Jazzy formed The Mavin Records in 2012.
Several music stars, including Rema, Ayra Starr, Crayon, BoySpyce, Magixx, and Korede Bello, were born from the Mavin Records.
