Hajia Maryam Isah Garba, the assistant secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kebbi State Chapter, stated on Saturday that the party has devised methods to wrest power from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) both locally and nationally.
Haija Garba, speaking at her party’s state congress in Birnin Kebbi at the royal event centre, described governance in Kebbi as “child’s play,” adding that “the current Apc government in the state and the central government have brought nothing but hunger, joblessness, and insecurity.”
According to her, the PDP would easily retake power as a result of the ruling party’s evident poor leadership, which is obvious to all.
She termed the change mantra employed at the time to unseat the PDP as unfortunate to all rational Nigerians, claiming that the hardships caused by the APC in six years are many times greater than what people stated during the PDP’s 16 years in office.
The ongoing state congress, according to Garba, is peaceful because the party has settled on a consensus candidate, Usman Bello Suru, whose undeniable leadership qualities will lead the party to a resounding victory in 2023, adding that he will be a leader for all and can wrestle power from the ruling APC in Kebbi state.
