The United States Government informed its citizens on Wednesday that militants are preparing an attack on big crowds in Johannesburg, South Africa, days after it issued a terrorist attack notice in Nigeria.
The US and Britain had issued a terror alert on Sunday, stating that government buildings, houses of worship, schools, and other targets might be the target of terrorist strikes in Abuja, Nigeria’s political capital.
Additionally, the US asked its nationals and embassy personnel in Abuja to evacuate the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria.
“The U.S. government has received information that terrorists may be planning to conduct an attack targeting large gatherings of people at an unspecified location in the greater Sandton area of Johannesburg, South Africa, on 29 October 2022.
