Manchester United beat Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday, thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo, Edinson Cavani, and Marcus Rashford, relieving pressure on under-fire manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ronaldo scored in the 39th minute with a brilliant right-foot volley into the far corner of Hugo Lloris’ net, following a magnificent feed from Portuguese compatriot Bruno Fernandes.
Cavani added the second in the 64th minute, and Rashford sealed the win four minutes from time as United put last weekend’s 5-0 home loss to Liverpool behind them.
United moved up to fifth place with 17 points from 10 games, while Nuno Espirito Santo’s shot-shy Spurs sit eighth with 15 points after failing to trouble United goalkeeper David De Gea.
