About four hours after the University of Abuja’s spokesperson told reporters that the abductors of six people from the university’s main campus had not reached out to the families of their victims, it has now been disclosed that the abductors had demanded N300 million.
According to sources, the kidnappers are demanding N50 million in ransom for each victim.

Habib Yakoob, the university’s spokesperson, confirmed the news to reporters.
“They got in touch with the family, the parents of the abducted children were contacted. We learned they are asking for N300 million for all of them,” he said.
