The presidential aspirations of All Progressives Congress leader Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, according to Chief Bode George, a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party, is a tremendous joke.
George said this in a press conference on Monday in response to Tinubu’s decision to notify President Muhammadu Buhari of his intention to run for president.
“This so-called ambition must be a huge joke. The Presidency of Nigeria is not for characters like Bola Tinubu. Look at how he mismanaged the resources of Lagos State. It is surprising that he can even dream of becoming the President of Nigeria. He is living in cuckoo land,” said George.
Tinubu, according to the former PDP Deputy National Chairman, would be surprised by how things unfold and how those he trusts will betray him.
According to George, the South-West has quality leaders who could produce Nigeria’s next president. Tinubu, on the other hand, he claimed was not one of them.
He claimed that settling for Tinubu would be an insult to the South-West, which he described as the country’s most intelligent region.
George also said it was terrible that Tinubu would announce his candidacy on such holy ground as the Presidential Villa.
