Femi Fani-Kayode, a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, claims that Bola Tinubu’s appearance at Chatham House demonstrates the skill of his team.
Fani-Kayode made this statement in support of Tinubu’s decision to assign some of his associates to handle inquiries Tinubu received at Chatham House. He rejected the idea that the APC flag bearer’s behaviour was a result of his inability to respond to them.
According to the former minister of aviation, Tinubu’s attendance at Chatham House was merely customary for presidential aspirants and not required.
He urged Tinubu’s detractors to exercise caution, arguing that because he is in a foreign country and is not required to respond to inquiries in a specific format, Tinubu has chosen to respond to some queries himself and to delegate others to his allies.

“He was proving to the world that Nigeria has not only capable leaders like himself but also capable disciples, those with him at Chatham House and back here in Nigeria that would form part of his inner circle and his team when he forms government, and I am very proud of that,” he said on Friday’s edition of Channels Television’s Politics Today.
“For people to assume that he cannot answer simply because he delegated, he had an interview with the BBC and he acquainted himself exceptionally well and to the fundamental questions, he didn’t delegate anybody to answer for him, he spoke well, he spoke clearly,” Fani-Kayode continued.
In a Monday appearance at Chatham House, a renowned policy institute and think tank forum in London, Tinubu shared some of his goals for important industries like military, the economy, education, and technology.
He assigned several of his loyalists, including serving governors and politicians, to field questions from visitors during the tour.
Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi, Dr. Betta Edu, former Commissioner for Finance in Lagos, Wale Edun, and others were among those who responded to queries on Tinubu’s behalf.
