Tolu Bankole, a member of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, claims that if elected, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the party’s presidential candidate, will revitalise failing local government councils.
Bankole voiced worry that Nigeria needs a unifier and visionary like the former governor of Lagos State more than ever before to address the country’s various socioeconomic and security issues.
State governors, according to Daniel, are “sweating and attempting to satisfy the people,” but are under pressure because of the low position of the councils.

During his speech at the South-West Conference of the Association of Ex-Local Government Chairmen in Abeokuta, former governor of Ogun State Gbenga Daniel warned that unless the third tier of government was activated, the benefits of democracy might not reach all parts of the country.
Tinubu, according to Bankole, a member of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, holds the key to such a comeback.
This information was revealed in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the national leader of people with Disabilities in APC.
The future is better with Tinubu as president, he declared. He will restructure the LGA administration, which will hasten the growth of all local governments nationwide.
“He will unlock the untapped possibilities across the country through financial autonomy of LGAs in Nigeria. I can assure you this will open up rural communities by providing adequate security, power and good roads for rural community development”
While claiming that the transition will stop rural-urban migration, advance agriculture, increase employment opportunities, and improve the economy for the general populace, Bankole also urged political actors to prioritise issue-based campaigns centred on doable plans, realistic timelines, and practical roadmaps to ensure a peaceful transition.
