Bola Tinubu, the APC’s national leader, has stated that he will consult widely before deciding whether or not to run for President in 2023.
After a closed-door meeting with leaders of the Northern Alliance Committee in Abuja, the former Lagos State governor stated this.
Some people have already begun campaigning for Tinubu, with the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) political party pledging its support for the politician.
Tinubu stated that he will not “turn them down” when it comes to such voices.
He continued, “But I will still effectively and widely consult, particularly brainstorm with my friends and find a date to come out openly and tell Nigerians.
“But the President is still in office. I don’t want to distract him from all the challenges he might face today. So, don’t muddle the political waters. Consult, make our programme known to the people later. And the intention is clear. So you can keep guessing.”
