Bola Tinubu, the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former governor of Lagos State, is said to have returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom on Friday.
On Friday, top sources verified Tinubu’s return to Nigeria.
InsightnaijaTV also gathered that the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was among those that met Tinubu at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
InsightnaijaTV learnt that the APC chieftain did not disembark from his plane.
“His passport was stamped from Quits Aviation but he departed from Evergreen hangar at the airport,” a source said.
Meanwhile, the APC in Lagos State sent out a memo to its leaders across the state alerting them that Tinubu’s Sunday welcoming party will not take place as planned.
The APC sent the circular to the party leaders for the change of strategy, which was signed by Alhaji Tunde Balogun (APC State Chairman) and Alhaji Maroun Are (GAC Secretary).
The APC leaders were instructed in a circular received by SaharaReporters on Friday that a fresh arrangement for welcome Tinubu would be disclosed later.
“Dear leader/GAC member, you are hereby informed of change in plans/arrival of our National Leader billed for Sunday. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the plans/arrival have been put on hold. A new plan/arrival will be unfolded soon. Sorry for any inconvenience this hold may have caused. Thank you,” the notice said.
