Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu established the “Jigi Bola” program while serving as the governor of Lagos State to assist Lagos residents who had vision issues by providing them with free access to prescription drugs, glasses, and other medical equipment.
The program, which was supported by the Lagos State Ministry of Health, was officially launched on Monday at the old secretariat of the Somolu Local Government, where it was presided over by Hon. Abdulhameed Salawu (Dullar), Chairman of the Somolu Local Government. Hon. Modiu Olatilewa, Bariga Supervisor for Health, spoke in place of Hon. Kolade Alabi, Chairman of the Bariga Local Council.
In her brief remarks, Hon. Kuponiyi praised the effort and congratulated Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, the governor, for bringing the program back to life, adding that this is why Asiwaju Tinubu is the greatest candidate to lead Nigeria.
According to her, she said “the program and the support it offers will go a long way to help the indigents with health challenges.”
On Wednesday, August 3, 2022, when the program came to an end, thousands of people in Somolu-Bariga had benefited hugely.
Hon. Bukola Adedeji, the SLG, Hon. Taiwo Sodara, the S.A. WAPA, Hon. Ronke Ojeleye, Vice Chairman, Bariga APC, Alhaji Suri Kareem, Dr. Foluso Oyewole, the MOH Bariga, and other management personnel joined the Supervisor for Health, Hon. Modiu Olatilewa.
