The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu says the least an alumni associations can do is to give back to the community and create the believe for students that they can be leaders of tomorrow.
Governor Sanwo-Olu stated this when the National Chairman, University of Lagos, Faculty of Engineering Alumni Association, Dideolu Falobi led members of the executive committee to pay him a coutsey visit at the Lagos House, Ikeja.
He said the Lagos State Government would support, encourage and work with the alumni association on the endowment fund raising to execute projects that would take the University to a higher level while urging leaders to ensure they play their own role for mankind and humanity.
The Governor thanked the delegation for the kind words saying governance is all about teamwork and that he is also proud of the achievements of the engineers in his administration.
Speaking earlier, Dideolu said the success recorded by the Governor Sanwo-Olu’s led administration was an encouragement for engineers, professionals
and technocrats to participate in politics and governance adding that this would ensure the dividends of democracy were delivered to all Nigerians.
He also said the association is proud of the Governor’s masterful, innovative and courageous handling of COVID 19 pandemic, the Endsars protests and other security challenges in the past year.
