Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna Central Senatorial District, has expressed concern about the recent spike in crime in Kaduna State.
The former senator claimed in a post on his Facebook page that terrorists and bandits now abduct and kill at any time and location of their choosing.
He claimed that the unidentified gunmen destroyed communities and forced families into poverty by demanding ransom.
Shehu asserts that there is blood on the hands of those who steadfastly upheld and justified the collapse of the government.
The former senator continued by saying he had lost faith in the current administration and that the only thing Nigerians could hope for from them was their departure in favor of the new administration.
He wrote: “The terrorists kidnap and kill at the time and place of their choice. They have razed down villages and impoverished families through ransom payments. Terrorists have become a shadow Government.
“I spoke as a lone Ranger and have been insulted and defamed for telling the truth about our state and now we are living the reality that was ignored.
“Those who blindly supported and defended the failure of the Government also have some stain of blood on their hands.
“However, it’s instructive to note that recently, the kidnapping and killings of Catholic priests in the state by terrorists has become systemic.
“I have lost hope that this Government, the only thing to expect from them is to go. We look ahead to the next Government to save our country and protect our people.”
