The denial is contained in a press release that the forum’s Director General, CID Maduabum, signed and distributed to journalists on Friday.
“Contrary to some media claims, Rt Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF), has not resigned as Chairman of the Forum, I am writing to inform the general public and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party.
“Members of the PDP GOVERNORS FORUM are resolving any contentious Party-related problems behind the scenes. A Forum meeting will shortly be called as a result, the statement said.
The PDP’s Board of Trustees Chairman, Senator Wali Jibrin, resigned during the National Executive Council meeting on Thursday, and was replaced by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara.
