The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has claimed that when he lost his biological son last year, some people made fun of him.
The general overseer of the RCCG said this on Tuesday evening when the church’s 70th Annual Convention was taking place along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Monday, August 8th marked the start of the “Perfect Jubilee” program, which would run until Sunday, August 14th, 2022.
On the second day of the program, the elderly preacher discussed the topic of “Born Free,” saying that God carries His children who make themselves carry-able.
In May 2021, following the passing of his 42-year-old son Dare, Adeboye claimed that God had been at his side during the most difficult time of his life.
He said, “Some of you have heard this before: when I was in the saddest period of my life, with so many questions and I know that even in my deep sorrow some people were still laughing at me, I got a text from one of my daughters.
“All she said was: ‘Daddy, let God carry you’. And that put an end to any problem; it ended my sorrows. It renewed my faith.”
On May 4, 2021, Dare, Adeboye’s third child and the family’s base in Eket, Akwa Ibom State, passed away. Adeboye was 80 years old. The deceased, who was married to Temiloluwa, was the father of three girls and, before to his passing, served as the assistant pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35.
