The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele, was suspended, and Senator Shehu Sani responded by calling him a disaster.
Emefiele was ordered to immediately handover to the Deputy Governor (Operations Directorate) of the Apex Bank, Folashodun Shonubi, after being suspended by Tinubu on Friday owing to a “ongoing investigation of his office and the planned reforms in the financial sector of the economy.”

The senator stated his displeasure with the CBN governor throughout his tenure in office when he responded on Friday via his Twitter account.

This is in response to the announcement that Mr. Godwin Emefiele’s position as governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria has been suspended.
He tweeted, “A disaster he was.”
