According to Julius Abure, the national chairman of the Labour Party (LP), none of the newly elected members of the National Assembly who are affiliated with the party will leave for another one during the 10th National Assembly because they are all men of integrity.
The purpose of the gathering, which also included Peter Obi, was to refine the party’s goals before the 10th National Assembly’s start.

After meeting with the party’s eight senatorial candidates and thirty-four representatives-to-be on Tuesday in Abuja, Abure said the party would contribute to strengthening the country’s democracy.
Abure stated: “We must put on record here that all those who were elected on the platform of the party, either to the House of Reps or the Senate are well-responsible and dedicated to the party.
“They are men and women of integrity and high repute and I am sure they are aware of the basis on why they were elected.
“Even if there are infiltrations, our members have the capacity to resist such infiltrations.”
