Ekiti State Government has announced the reopening of public schools in the State starting from 3 August,2020 for students in graduating classes.
The reopening was announced by the State Commissioner for Education, Mr. Foluso Daramola while speaking to pressmen in Ado Ekiti noted that Commissioners for Education in South West States held a virtual meeting and each State agreed on drawing plans for school resumption.
Mr. Daramole said that academic activities will begin with students in Primary 6, JSS 3 and SS 3 in preparatory for their examination.
He added that schools with two entrance gate should lock one down in other to control inward and outward movement, appealing to private schools owners to provide required materials to use in containing the spread of Coronavirus.
The commissioner also implore parents and guidance to provide 3 face masks for their children and restrict private school from using school bus to pick and drop the students.
