A member of the House Of Representive, representing Apapa Federal House of Representatives, Mr. Mufutau Egberongbe has said that the recent visit of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, to the Apapa area of the State, will surely bring an end to gridlock in the axis.
Mr. Egberongbe, in a chat with newsmen applauded Governor Sanwo-Olu for deeming it fit to visit Apapa to assess the situation of the area.
According to the lawmaker, the situation in Apapa especially as it relates to traffic, was becoming unbearable, noting that the visit is a blessing in disguise.
Mr. Egberongbe stressed that the State Government had disclosed that the State Government had made a request to the Federal Government to prevail on the concessionaire that will be operating the 700-truck capacity Lilypond Terminal at Apapa to open the facility for use without further delay.
He further stated that the effort worth commending as it shows that Governor Sanwo-Olu is a working Governor, who cares about the plight of the people. hence his benevolence gesture in donating 30 hectares of land in Ijora is another pointer to the fact that he is concerned about restoration of sanity to Apapa.
