The hospital bills of all protesters affected by the Lekki mayhem will be paid by the Lagos State Government.
Curfew imposed on the State will be eased tomorrow morning between 8am to 6pm
Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu made this known while addressing newsmen at the Lagos House Marina, after on the spot assessment of the level of damage incurred in the State by hoodlums who hijacked the peaceful protests against Police brutality.
Governor Sanwo-olu who expressed dismay at the wanton of destruction on private and public infrastructure as well as lost of lives called for sober reflection, noting that anyone who still incite the youths to continue the protest should be taken for a test.
Governor Sanwo-olu who blamed the agitation on fake news on the social media appealed to the youths to come to the table for reconciliation.
He noted that it was high time residents began healing process and shun bitterness for a better Lagos of their dream.
Governor Sanwo-olu assured members of the public that the judicial panel on Police brutality would commence hearing on Monday and urged anyone with complains to go through the channel that has been provided.
Governor Sanwo-olu expressed confidence in the panel to deliver Justice to those who have been brutalised.
A minute silence was observed for the lost souls.
The Governor visited twenty seven points which included Orile police station, Ajeromi police station, Layeni police station, Ojodu Beger VIO, FRSC Complex, Lagos Public Works Corporation, Ojodu Berger, Onyingbo BRT terminal, Ajeromi-Ifelodun LGA secretariat, Lekki Mall and Lekki Tollgate.
Meanwhile, the Lagos State Waste Management Agency, LAWMA has been mandated to Clean up the metropolis immediately.
