Tollowing the official pronouncement of the dissolution of the Special Anti Robbery Squad, SARS, by the Inspector- General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, Governor, Babajide Sanwo- Olu of Lagos State has commended anti-SARS protesters in the State for a peaceful agitation, and described the disolution of the Unit as a victory for the youths, everyone and the beauty of Democracy.
In an Interview with pressmen shortly after arriving the Presidential wing of Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged the protesters to align with the stakeholders collaborative measures being outlined by the Police authorities towards a reformed security Architecture.
Governor Sanwo-Olu noted that people have the right to air their views when thing are going wrong, hence the reason he lent his voice exactly a week ago towards ensuring that Lagosians are secured and protected.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu says that he has been constantly engaging the Commissioner of Police and Director, Department of State Services in Lagos to ensure peace and protection of residents.
