Engr. Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins has been named the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Dr. Idris Salako, who submitted his letter of resignation last Monday, less than 24 hours after a seven-story building fell in the Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru Road, Oniru Estate, Victoria Island, part of the state, killing six people, is being replaced by Bamgbose-Martins.
Bamgbose-Martins served as the Commissioner for Special Duties prior to this appointment.
On Wednesday at Alausa, Ikeja, the state’s commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, made the announcement.
The general public is being informed that Engr. Omotayo Bamgbose-Martins has been appointed as the new Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development by Mr. Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, according to Omotoso.
“He is taking over for Dr. Idris Salako, who recently left his position.
“The selected commissioner is a technocrat you can trust and comes with a wealth of knowledge as a previous Commissioner of Special Duties.”
