Political campaigning are not allowed in the Love of Christ Generation Church C&S (Worldwide), according to Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi.
She did, however, say that everyone running for president is welcome to worship.
She talked at a briefing before the 15th Anniversary and One Year Thanksgiving of the Cathedral Opening in her Cathedral in Victoria Island, Lagos.
The monk reaffirmed that political campaigns would not be tolerated in her church after stating that she does not have a preferred presidential candidate for the 2023 race.
She claimed that she is a mother to everyone and that she loves them all.
I am a pastor and the mother of all, so I don’t have a choice. I have prayed for Tinubu, anointed Atiku, and even invited Kwankwaso to the church.
The priest emphasised the need for everyone to instil prayer into their hearts and minds and claimed that only the fear of God could save the country from its current predicament.
If we love our country, she advised, “We must never stop praying. When you have the fear of God, you won’t hide other people’s money in your home or abroad.”
The cleric advised Nigerians to continue their prayers despite the security situation.
If we want to do it well, we must instil the fear of God in both our preaching and daily conduct. We should keep placing our leaders’ hearts in God’s hands since only He has the power to change them.
Among the dignitaries attending the celebrations, which run from Friday, September 2, to Sunday, September 4, 2022, are former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi – the Ooni of Ife.
