Reno Omokri, a former aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan, attacked Labour Party contender Mr. Peter Obi, calling him a politician who lacks political understanding and a paperweight.
Going to the diaspora to campaign, according to Omokri, “shows lack of political knowledge since the diasporas are not going to vote during the election,” he said on ChannelsTv’s Politics Today on Wednesday, September 14, 2022.
Obi has recently been travelling to various locations around the globe to counsel as the 2023 presidential race nears.
Omokri expressed confidence that his party, the Peoples Democratic Party, or PDP, would prevail in the upcoming 2023 presidential election while heaping praise on his candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

When asked if his candidate had any flaws, Reno responded that Atiku had none that were publicly known, in contrast to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Candidate, whose age, education, health, and place of origin are all under scrutiny.
He pointed out that unlike the PDP candidate, who spent hours at AriseTv talking about the future of the nation with Dr. Reuben Abati and others, Tinubu has not agreed to an interview with any media outlet and hasn’t even sat for 10 minutes.
Recall that the official spokesman for the All Progressives Congress Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo had claimed that Peter Obi, the candidate for president of the Labour Party, intended to stage-manage a false assassination attempt on himself.

In a statement released in Abuja on Monday, Keyamo claimed that Obi intended to stage an attack on some of his party secretariats with the help of hired followers wearing APC hats and T-shirts.
The Minister of State for Labour and Employment also charged Obi with disseminating a hateful video online to disparage Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.
Festus asserted that the Labour Party candidate created the message on purpose and disseminated the insulting video himself as part of a campaign strategy. Festus asked Obi to disclose the source and name(s) of those responsible for the ambiguous WhatsApp message.
