Samuel Eto’o, a former star for Barcelona, was seen on video engaging in a violent altercation with another person outside a World Cup stadium in Qatar.
The incident happened after Brazil’s 4-1 victory against South Korea on Monday night at Stadium 974 in Doha, where Eto’o was present.
After the game, the 41-year-old former Cameroon international was seen leaving the area while first appearing content to pose for pictures with fans.
Eto’o, however, objected to one man who was pursuing him while filming him.

The former striker is seen returning to confront the person in video that was released by the Spanish-language news outlet La Opinion.
Despite being restrained, Eto’o escapes and strikes the man in the face with what appears to be a vicious knee, sending him flying.
The man gets back to his feet and appears to be unharmed before Eto’o is removed from the scene by what look to be members of his entourage.
It was not immediately clear what started the violent encounters or what might have been said to Eto’o, who is in Qatar serving as an ambassador for the World Cup 2022 legacy.
In 2019, Eto’o announced his retirement from the game of football after an illustrious career that saw stops at Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Anzhi Makhachkala in Russia.
He scored 56 goals in 118 appearances for Cameroon. In 2021, Eto’o was chosen to lead the Cameroon football federation.
Cameroon placed third in Group G and was eliminated at the group stage of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, but they did manage to defeat Brazil 1-0 in their final game.
