President Muhammadu Buhari will visit Lagos State on Thursday to inaugurate a number of projects in the commercial capital.
Buhari is expected to leave Abuja this week for a formal visit to Lagos.
Security agencies are already deploying agents to Lagos to safeguard the state ahead of the president’s visit, according to Source.
“On Thursday, the President will commission projects in Lagos,” a source said on Monday.
Buhari returned to Abuja on Sunday from the United Arab Emirates, where he took part in the Dubai Expo 2020.
His Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, as well as ministers and security leaders, greeted the President at the Presidential Wing of the Abuja airport.
On Friday, the Nigerian leader paid a visit to the Nigerian Pavilion at the Expo and met with potential investors in the audience.
Buhari stated that Nigeria is Africa’s most feasible and appealing investment destination, and that the country is on its way to become the continent’s premier industrial and trade nation.
President Buhari was the Special Guest of Honour at the Special Trade and Investment Forum on Saturday, with the topic “Unveiling Investment Opportunities in Nigeria.”
At the investment roundtable, the President reassured business leaders and entrepreneurs who had expressed an interest in expanding trade and investment ties with Nigeria.
He stated that his administration would continue to collaborate with them in order to strengthen the business climate, particularly once the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) takes effect.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, also met with Buhari.
