The likes of recent addition Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, Alex Telles, Eric Bailly, Donny van de Beek, Anthony Elanga, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka then entered the game in the second half.
Allison, Jordan Henderson, Luis Diaz, Joe Gomez, and Roberto Firmino were all in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup for Liverpool.
The German coach then inserted regulars such Thiago Alcantara, Ibrahima Konate, Virgil Van Dijk, Fabinho, Mohamed Salah, and Naby Keita.
Sancho, playing for United, broke the scoreless tie in the 12th minute, and Fred added a second in the 30th.
Martial made it 3-0 just three minutes after Fred’s goal, and substitute Pellestri added a fourth in the 76th.
On Friday, United will play another preseason friendly in Australia against Melbourne Victory, and on the same day, Liverpool will play Crystal Palace in Singapore.
