A workshop is underway at the Zone Two police Command Headquarters in Lagos on the need for the police to build trust and partnership with people in their areas of operations.
Addressing the participating personnel from Lagos and Ogun States , the Assistant Inspector general of police in Charge of the zone Mr. Ahmed Illiyasu warned the personnel to resist temptations to abuse powers and to desist from using unnecessary force or violence in the discharge of their duties.

Mr. Illiyasu urged the operatives to put their past behind in the spirit of nationhood and assiduously work to correct the negative perception of the public about police officers.
He said police officers should have a change of attitude to duty and put the people in the centre point of policing.
The police boss also urged all law abiding citizens, corporate organizations, traditional institutions and well meaning Nigerians to resolve to partner the police in providing the much needed safety and security for Nigerian environment so that business and social activities can blossom once again.
