Security operatives have arrested two notorious robbers known for robbing vehicles in the Abiola Garden and Ketu/Ojota Road areas.
InsightnaijaTV reports that Benjamin Hundeyin, the Police Public Relations Officer, announced their arrest in a statement on Monday.
Kareem Ahmed (26) and Afo Emma, according to the statement, are the suspects (24).
“They were found with 5 stolen android phones, a jack knife, a cutlass, a mask and weed suspected to be Indian hemp.
The duo are assisting the police in an ongoing investigation aimed at arresting other criminal elements in the axis.”
According to Hundeyin, the arrest came after many complaints from motorists about illicit activity.
Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alabi, has directed that efforts to arrest and prosecute all miscreants in compliance with the law be maintained in all recognised black areas.
