Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested three people in connection with the deaths of Dr. Obisike Ibe and a friend.
Babaji Sunday, the Commissioner of Police, made the announcement on Tuesday in Abuja.
Ibe worked at Zenith Lab and Kidney Centre in Abuja. He and his friend, Ezekiel Edoja, lived in Games Village Estate’s House D2, 24 Street.
The suspects stole a $1,000 envelope, Abe’s phone, an ATM card, and a vehicle.
On December 13, 2021, the card was used to withdraw N2 million from Ibe’s account. According to Sunday, the gang admitted to plotting and committing the crime.
Similarly, on January 14, a 22-year-old man was arrested in connection with the death of Mohammed Usman on his farm in the Karu area.
“Thorough investigation led to the arrest of the suspect, who voluntarily confessed in a written statement, to have stabbed the deceased and taken flight for fear of apprehension.
