Former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi, is yet to receive a letter from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on his supposed invitation by the anti-graft agency.
This was according to his media aide, Valentine Obienyem, who made the disclosure in a statement on Monday.
Earlier reports had said that Obi was invited by the EFCC over his indictment in the Pandora Papers, an international investigative project led by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
The report had claimed that Obi contravened Nigerian laws by operating an offshore company and failing to resign as a director in his other companies while serving as Anambra State governor.
The report also alleged that Obi failed to fully declare his assets to the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) before and after he became governor.
