Nigeria must work for all of its residents, according to Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) and former governor of Anambra State.
Obi stated in a brief message on his verified Twitter account on Sunday, November 13, 2022 that Nigerians must be allowed to live securely and safely no matter where they are.

“There is Nigeria; But there are no Nigerians. Currently, Nigeria works for a small minority of people; Nigeria must work for ALL Nigerians. Nigerians must be able to dwell securely and in safety wherever they live. This is the first duty of government. This makes security a top priority for me,” the post read.
Any nation that loses control of its economy and security is nothing more than a failed state, according to Obi, who quit the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the Labour Party to serve as its significant candidate for the 2023 election.
Additionally, he had pledged to favourably alter the narrative if elected president in 2023.
He believed that institutional weakness and a lack of political will to bring about real change that would improve the lives of the populace were Nigeria’s problems, not a lack of ideas.
He declared his dedication to revealing the nation’s greatness and transforming it from a consumer to a producing nation.
Additionally, he promised to make sure that Nigeria’s security issues were tackled head-on and to promote job options for young people who are used as social vices’ tools.
He claimed that once employment are produced and young people are actively employed and become productive, insecurity will have been significantly decreased and will no longer be a lucrative industry.
