The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has suffered a loss in Kwara State, as the party’s Publicity Secretary, Tunde Ashaolu, has been confirmed dead.
Ashaolu (left in the photo above) died on Sunday evening, according to reports reaching InsightnaijaTV.
The politician died just one day after his birthday.
According to InsightnaijaTV, Ashaolu and former Chairman Ekiti Local Government, Kwara, Akintoba Fatigue share the same birthday and were both hosted to a get-together in Abuja over the weekend by former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.
Unfortunately, Ashaolu died just a few hours after performing with Saraki and his co-celebrant.
Billy Adedamola, a friend and colleague of the deceased, confirmed the sad development in a Facebook post: “We lost this evening, a friend and brother, Tunde Ashaolu, Kwara state publicity secretary of PDP.
“He marked his birthday yesterday in Abuja where he was celebrated by the former President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki and today he has gone to meet his creator. Tunde was a loyal, dedicated and hard-working party man. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.”
