The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has approved the expansion of the recently constituted South West Zonal Committee of the party.
The expansion was contained in a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan on Thursday 9 July, 2020.
According to the statement, the National Working Committee in pursuant to Section 29 (2)(b) and 31(2)(e) of the PDP constitution as amended in 2017.
Ologbondiyan stated that the additional member of the South West Zonal Caretaker Committee are Engr. Julius Akinsola (Oyo), Chief Martin Olutade Abiloye(Ondo), Alhaji Kazeem Adio(Osun), and Alhaji Mustapha Sikiru (Ogun).
The Caretaker Committee are assigned to run the affairs of the party in the South West Zone for a period not more than three months as prescribed by the party Constitution.
The NWC however enjoins all leaders and members of the party in the zone to work in harmony and join forces together with the people of Ondo State for a successful Governorship election in September, July 9, 2020.
