The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has vowed to win 25 states in the general elections of next year, including Lagos State.
PDP National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu asserts at a meeting in Abuja to receive the report of the Lagos and Osun State PDP reconciliation committee that “PDP will have a governor in Lagos and several other positions in the Senate, House of Representatives, and the house of assembly.”

He urged party leaders who might be having problems to find a solution, saying that once this was done, the PDP “would be celebrating, as I have always prophesied, at least 25 governors, and also be having a large victory celebration in the Presidential Villa.”
Ayu claims that despite the fact that the party was in turmoil in Lagos, the work done by the Chief Eyitayo Jegede-led Committee has improved the PDP’s chances of winning the election the following year.
The PDP chief was informed by Jegede, the party’s candidate for governor in the 2022 Ondo election, that the Committee had settled all disputes with aggrieved party members in the states of Lagos and Osun.
