The South- East’s desire for a president is urgent and morally correct, according to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but only backing the ticket of Atiku Abubakar and Ifeanyi Okowa would be practical.
Chukwubuikem Uloka, the PDP Presidential Campaign Management Committee’s deputy director for media and publicity, said this in a statement in Awka. He explained that while there is a growing desire for the presidency from the South-East, the electorate in that region should support the Atiku/Okowa ticket.

In comparison to other political parties, the media assistant maintained that the PDP’s platform guaranteed equality, restructuring, improved economic policies, and national cohesiveness.
He stated that, “It is comprehensible that the Southeast is demanding a president from the region in 2023; we all agree that such demand is morally right and timely.
“It is important that we remind ourselves that what is important to the Southeast having our region reconnected to the national political and economic grid is through genuine reconciliation, forging strategic alliances with other regions.
