Kosofe’s local government came to a virtual halt on Wednesday as prominent Nigerians, politicians, foreign diplomats, royal fathers, market women and men, benefactors, among others, flocked to Olowo Palace in Oworo, which houses the eighth day of prayer. the rest of the late HRM Oba Bashiru Saliu.
The late monarch was the father of the current vice president of Kosofe local government Prince Babatunde Saliu and councilor representing district B, Oworo, Hon. Kehinde Saliu.
Speaking on the show, the first citizen of Kosofe local government, lawyer Moyo Ogunlewe, described the late monarch as a very good father and man.
As predicted in Fidau’s prayers, prominent Muslim clerics were on the ground offering prayers for the dead, as well as sermons on humanity’s need to make humility their watchword.
