The All Progressives Congress (APC), the main opposition group in Oyo State, has stated that Governor Seyi Makinde does not deserve to be re-elected for a second term in office in 2023.
In a statement acquired by InsightnaijaTV on Monday, the APC said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had failed miserably in the state and that giving them another chance to govern would result in severe insecurity.
Alhaji Tajudeen Olanite, the state’s APC state secretary, claimed in a statement that the PDP wants to stifle opposition and make Oyo a one-party state.
It claimed that because the PDP is aware of their abject failure and lack of anything beneficial to offer the state’s good citizens, the Makinde administration has grown too intolerable of opposition in the state.
Olanite charged Governor Makinde with utilizing state resources to support thugs who have been implicated in the deaths of certain residents of the state.
