The Body of Benchers on Tuesday, July 27, 2021 called a total of 1,785 successful graduates of the Nigerian Law School to the Nigerian bar.
The call to bar ceremony usually happens after the new wigs have successfully passed the Bar Final Examination and it’s the climax of any individual’s quest to join the legal profession.
At the ceremony in Abuja, the Chairman of the Body of Benchers, Retired Justice Olabode Rhodes-Vivour, tasked the lawyers, fondly called new wigs, to be technologically inclined in the discharge of their professional duties to meet up with the global practice of the profession as well function effectively in this era of Covid-19 pandemic.
Retired Justice Rhodes-Vivour said, for the new wigs to excell in the profession, they must adhere to the norms and ethics of the profession.
Also speaking at the event, the Director General of the Nigerian Law School, Professor Isa Chiroma, said proactive steps were taken by the Law School management and other stakeholders to manage and prevent serious casuality as a result of Covid-19 pandemic.
