Dr. Akin Ogunbiyi, one of the main governorship candidates on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) platform, has resigned from the contest.
In the afternoon today, the party chieftain announced his resignation from the race at his campaign office in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo, the state capital.
He said there was a conspiratorial plan by the party’s leadership from the national headquarters to be biased in the election while presenting his reasons for withdrawing from the contest.
Ogunbiyi went on to say that the Adeleke camp has also refined plans to molest, harass, and even cause mayhem in the party primary election, which could result in the deaths of his political supporters.
