The fate of Senator Adeleke Adeleke‘s bid for governor of Osun will be decided by the Supreme Court on Thursday.
recalls that Prince Dotun Babayemi, a previous candidate and currently expelled PDP member from the Osun chapter, is pursuing legal action to determine who is the genuine contender to Senator Adeleke.
The PDP national working committee certified Senator Adeleke as the genuine candidate, and she defeated incumbent Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 governor’s race in Osun.
However, Prince Dotun Babayemi, who was supposedly chosen as the party’s flag bearer at a parallel congress, asserts that he is the legitimate candidate for governor of Osun PDP.

Prince Dotun Babayemi had been defeated by Adeleke and the PDP in the federal high court and appeals court.
On November 27, Adeleke will take the oath of office as executive governor of Osun.
