Napoli won the Scudetto for the first time in 33 years thanks to Victor Osimhen‘s equaliser against Udinese in the second half.
The Nigerian, who is in the lead for the Italian Serie A golden boot, scored in the 52nd minute to negate Sandi Lovric’s first-half goal, which elicited wild celebrations from Naples supporters.

When Lovric opened the scoring, Napoli’s hopes of winning their first domestic championship since 1990 appeared to be fading. However, Victor Osimhen’s equaliser was sufficient to bring the Scudetto back to southern Italy’s largest city for a third time.
When Luciano Spalletti and his players return to Naples, they will be met with an emotional welcome. The celebrations are expected to go at least until their upcoming home game against Fiorentina.
Osimhen, a Nigerian striker, had the best season of his career and was essential to Napoli’s historic ascent to victory, thus it was fitting that he was the one to lead Napoli over the finish line.
Osimhen’s game-winning goal, his 22nd in 28 league games, sparked a commotion among the throngs of travelling supporters who occupied the Dacia Arena in Udine.
