Femi Fani-Kayode, a former aviation minister, responded to the drone operation that killed Al-Qaeda commander Ayman al-Zawahiri.
Fani-Kayode praised the United States of America for executing terrorist warlords including Osama Bin Ladin, Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi, and Ayman Al Zawahiri in a message on his Twitter page on Tuesday.
However, he bemoaned the fact that terror kingpins in Nigeria are instead rewarded if murdered.
Fani-Kayode claims that in Nigeria, terrorists are bribed, compensated, placated, rewarded, and even granted chieftaincy titles.
He wrote: “The Americans killed Osama Bin Ladin, AbuBakr Al Baghdadi & now Ayman Al Zawahiri. Kudos!
“In Nigeria we do not kill terrorists: we beg them, pay them, appease them, reward them, bow before them, give them chieftaincy titles & let them break into prison to free their brothers.”
On Tuesday morning, reports surfaced revealing that an American drone operation had really killed Al-Zawahiri in Afghanistan.
After the death of his predecessor, Osama Bin Laden, InsightnaijaTV understands that the deceased was appointed the head of the terrorist organization.
Recall that on May 11, 2011, Osama Bin Laden, a well-known terrorist who was born in Saudi Arabia and founded the Pan-Islamic militant group Al-Qaeda, was assassinated.
One of the deadliest terrorists in the world is reportedly Al-Zawahiri.
Prior to his passing, a $25 million bounty had been placed on Al-Zawahiri for his role in the 9/11 attacks, which saw four hijacked passenger planes used to crash the Pentagon near Washington, D.C., the World Trade Center twin towers in New York, and a field in Pennsylvania, killing about 3,000 people.
Al-Zawahiri moved into a safe house in the center of Kabul with his family, where he continued to make al-Qaida propaganda videos for several months before he met his demise, according to White House officials who spoke to an indigent news outlet. During this time, he was frequently seen on a balcony.
