A couple of weeks after his private wedding to queen Mariam Anako, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, plans to wed a new queen.
According to a widely distributed invitation, the bridal party will greet guests on Friday, October 14, 2022, in Enuwa Square.
The Ooni of Ife will be marrying Ashley Adegoke before his 48th birthday this month.
The wedding bliss is between Oba Ogunwusi and Princess Afolasade Ashley Adegoke of the Lafogidi reigning dynasty in the old town, according to the invitation.

“The Royal Family of Late Prince Adebiyi Adegoke of the Adagba compound in Lafogido Ruling house cordially invites you to the traditional wedding of their daughter Her Royal Highness Omo Oba Afolasade Ashley Adegoke and His Imperial Majesty Ooni Adeyeye Babatunde Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II on Friday, October 14, 2022,” reads the invitation.
Queen Ashley is a chartered accountant who currently oversees the Ashley Adegoke Foundation, an NGO that helps widows and children from underprivileged backgrounds.
She currently manages her businesses in the UK and holds a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the University of Greenwich.
