The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi resigned his membership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
Ajayi who had earlier contested in the last PDP Gubernatorial primary election on July 22, 2020 and loss to Jegede, joined the party on 21 June, 2020 at his hometown, Kiribo.
This was contained in a statement by the media adviser to the Deputy Governor, comrade Allen Sowore stating that “the decision is as a result of the call on the Deputy Governor by majority of the good people of Ondo State to give hope to the hopeless, provide credible and purposeful leadership in our dear State.
He also appreciates the leadership and members of the PDP for their acceptance in a short period he rejoined the party.
According to the statement, the Chairman of the PDP in Apoi Ward II of ESE-Odo Local Government Area, Festus Oboro acknowledged the receipt of the resignation letter on 9th August, 2020.
The Deputy Governor however, reassure his supporters of been focused and committed to service delivery.
He added that the Deputy Governor will be announcing his next line of action shortly.
