Paul Omotosho, an Ekiti state politician, has been elected as the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The ruling party, the APC, is holding its congress across the country right now.
InsightnaijaTV learned, Omotosho was born out of a consensus at a congress held at the little pavilion at the Fajuyi roundabout in Ado-Ekiti.
Yusuf Galambi, the state chairman of the APC congress election committee, revealed the latest development on Saturday.
According to Galambi, 37 candidates expressed interest in the various posts, with 36 showing up for the interview.
He said that all of the positions were uncontested.
Omotosho promised media shortly after his election as chairman that he would lead the party “to an enviable height.”
He promised that the state leaders will work hard to guarantee that the party wins a historic governorship race in 2022.
Prior to the congress, Omotoso served as the state’s APC caretaker committee chairman.
